SōL Harris/Day Architecture has been awarded the architectural services contract for Stark State College's new Energy Center Campus project. Although an exact site has not yet been determined, it will be located in Downtown Canton, Ohio. Selected from 5 finalists, SHD will help with the site selection, space programming and design of the project.
This project is funded through the Workforce Development Grant from the State of Ohio. The new campus will be focused on the emerging Utica Shale oil and gas industry, positioning Stark State College to lead our region in the training and research of this new technology. The new campus will become a magnet and catalyst for continued economic growth in the Stark County area.
As a leader in sustainable architecture in Stark County, SōL Harris/Day Architecture has shared this same vision with Stark State College. Our collaborative efforts together have resulted in multiple significant campus buildings which have supported the educational and research goals of Stark State.
