Carrollton Schools' Partnership with SoL Harris/Day Wins $4.06 Million State Grant

Based on our previous experience with education, lab and testing facilities, Carrollton Exempted Village Schools partnered with SHD to develop a POWER (Providing Opportunities With Extraordinary Results) program. This was submitted to the State Department of Education for funding and received a Governers 'Straight A Fund' grant for $4.06 million.

The program will enhance project-based STEM education for career and college readiness in Engineering, Agriculture and Safety. These new programs will require many different types of structures such as indoor/outdoor labs, classrooms, greenhouses and instructional kiosks.

Look for construction to begin in the Summer of 2014.
