Akron Community Foundation Rebuilds to Create a Lasting Impression

After a fire devastated much of the offices of Akron Community Foundation, SōL Harris/Day's Design team worked alongside leadership to completely re-imagine their home. The main lobby saw the biggest change, with a brand new 8-person, glass-enclosed conference room and impressive new reception area. The design allows for greater functionality, integration with the latest technology, LED lighting, and a contemporary new aesthetic.

The interior finishes were carefully selected to cohesively blend the renovated space with the existing, while incorporating the Foundation's branding into the design. Office areas were reworked to develop a more open, collaborative environment that will improve communication among staff. All improvements resulted in a bright new image for this dynamic organization and the Akron community at large.
