The Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities recently completed 27,000 square feet of interior renovations to their Whipple-Dale Facility. These improvements were mainly for the SSA (Service & Support Administration), which had previously been housed in rented space in North Canton. A second part of this project was providing 5,600 square feet of space for another Stark County Government Agency, Stark County Veterans Commission. The Veterans Commission was looking for more accessible space, with their own entrance, parking and a centralized location to better serve veterans in the county.
The renovations involved an interior demolition of existing workshop space, which was converted to offices. New furniture, finishes and energy-efficient lighting added new life to this facility. Staff will now enjoy an open, collaborative atmosphere in their updated office areas. A brand new lobby with vibrant, warm colors and a sophisticated new look provides an inviting space to greet visitors and clients.
The careful planning and execution of this project allowed for a successful completion that was on time and under budget.
