Plain Township plans for an outdoor amphitheater

Positioning Oakwood Square as the center of town, the Plain Township Trustees are moving forward with plans to create a new amphitheater in the space between the Board of Trustees and the businesses. This will offer the community a space for all types of events. The intent is to bring the community together and increase tourism to the area that will boost the local economy.

Planning is in the early stages, with no timeline set just yet. "These are very custom, creative spaces," architect Justin Gantz said. "You want to make sure that they serve the community, and so we just start with learning about everyone involved first." Look for more details as plans evolve.
