Terri joined the SHD family in 2012 and, this year, she celebrates her 10th anniversary. We reached out to ask her about working at SHD and wanted to share some of her answers:
What is Unique about working for SHD?
"Lots of companies boast that they care about their employees, but all the partners and all the staff really do care about each other."
What is your biggest lesson learned in the last 10 years at SHD?
"Right after I started, I was told 'we are a paperless office'. I thought I would never adjust, but I have come to accept we do not need to print everything, and we do not need to keep a hard copy. I’m a PACKRAT and I like paper trails. This truly was “'teaching and old dog new tricks'."
What is your favorite project that SHD as designed?
"I really like when we work on schools. It just amazes me how education has changed over the years, and it makes sense that the buildings need to be efficient for these changes. I love all the bright colors, different workstations, and multi-use rooms that help to make education fun."
