The Boy Scouts wanted to improve the Seven Ranges Camp and provide more accessibility for their campers. During the off-season, they renovated and upgraded 5 shower houses that provided a total of 31 individual restrooms and included a janitorial storage space. The individual restrooms are a sharp contrast to the old shower houses that had group restrooms and showers.
The existing shower house structures and roofs were incorporated into the new design and the new individual restrooms with showers utilized the same footprint as the old ones. The exterior materials were designed for durability and ease of replacement.
In order to improve accessibility, 50% of the new restrooms are ADA accessible along with new ADA parking spaces. These changes bring important improvements to allow ease of use for all visitors.
