Green Elementary serves grades 2 through 5
Green Local Schools' new elementary school opened this week, bringing lots of excitement and opportunities for their students and staff. The new two-story building plan focuses on creating smaller pods (2 per grade level) with an aim to create a sense of community while also providing an engaging and secure learning environment. Large windows and outdoor learning spaces are positioned to allow for access to natural light and opportunities to learn outside of the building which contributes to improved mental health and wellness. The exterior buff brick complements the adjacent Green Primary building, and the wood grain metal panels provide warmth and tie to the nature inspired color palette used on the interior of the building.

6th, 7th, and 8th Graders are filling the Halls at the New Middle School
The Middle School at Green Local Schools also opened this week. Like the elementary school, separate wings were designed for each grade level to allow students to feel like they a part of their own individual community. Natural light, thoughtful materials, and open spaces create an environment where students can thrive – physically, emotionally, and academically. The exterior red brick complements the adjacent stadium and City Administration building and incorporates the school colors with orange accents along the main entries. The City of Green partnered with the school and attached a community recreation center, The Core, that is a part of this building that will open later this fall.
