At SōL Harris/Day, we love to celebrate the milestones. Work anniversaries are important to celebrate because it means we are celebrating the people who make us who we are. Without our unique team, we could not provide the services our clients have come to expect. Justin Gantz has been with our firm for 10 years! His leadership has helped to shape our firm and the projects we produce. His passion for revitalizing our communities really shines through with the projects he has designed. He can see the beauty and potential of the existing buildings, bringing them back to life in creative and fun ways. Justin has shared with us how the last 10 years have shaped his views:
How has SHD changed in 10 years and where do you see SHD in the next 10 years?
"We have continued to grow in our core competencies while also doubling down in the surrounding communities we serve. Going forward I see us continuing to grow as thought leaders in education, workplace, recreation, and adaptive reuse while remaining committed to serving the needs of our local communities. We will not outgrow the surrounding area we love."
What draws you to your strong focus on community revitalization?
"Community revitalization often involves taking old buildings or underutilized spaces and turning them from liabilities to assets in the community. Every community is different, and it is always exciting to discover new ways to spark change in a community."
As a Partner, what do you see as SHD’s strengths?
"We really do embody our tag line of: Designed for people. Designed for life. We provide custom solutions to each unique client. We get a to know our clients and provide sustainable designs that stand the test of time."
What is the biggest lesson learned since working for SHD?
"At the end of the day, it is all about the people you work with and serve. Great coworkers, great clients, and great communities are what I find most rewarding about working at SHD."
