Progress Continues at the North Canton Middle School

The new North Canton Middle School, located in North Canton, Ohio, will create a consolidated campus at the existing Hoover High School site, creating opportunities for cross-school collaboration while simplifying the district's operations.

The large outdoor, south-facing courtyard will be accessible for all educators and students and expands the educational options to accommodate various programs, like the "Flight and Space" STEM class, to bring learning outdoors.

This new building has been designed with security and access to natural daylight in mind. It is divided up to allow areas to be isolated while still facilitating transparency, flexibility, and collaboration. Academic areas can easily be isolated from public event spaces commonly used after the typical school day. Nearly every educational space has access to natural light and an adaptable flex learning space.

The Middle School's exterior and interior design features build upon the district's education and facility goals that were established with their Primary and Intermediate buildings that opened to students in 2023.

Look for more progress updates as the project moves out of the design phase into construction. The new Middle School is expected to open for the 2027-28 school year. We are excited to see students in our community learn in their new spaces!
